Interesting how each country comes up with their own time zone. I got interested because I looked at Japan stretching in geographic latitude having 1 time zone. Russia has 11, China for political reasons(purpose of unity after the civil war) is the largest with only 1 zone, U.S. is 9 due to territories stretching the pacific or 4 if you count continental U.S.. Arizona and Hawaii decide to skip daylight savings, and Antarctica can be in theory anytime you want it to be "what a mess!"
Hey guys!I vaguely remember that somebody was possibly looking for this Elgin dial a couple 2-3 months ago but I can't find the thread. This one came to me in a group of dials that I bought but I have no need for it, not really what I deal in or restore at this time. It's been refinished by somebody who knew what they were doing, it looks pretty nice.Raised gold numerals, size 4/0s from 1929-1933 probably.Let me know.
