I'm interested to know which makes of high end watches hold their value best and why. I've read that traditionally Rolex hold very well however how do other brands like Breitling and Omega do in this area? What about smaller brands like Panerai and very small makes like Blancpain and Vacheron Constantin? How do jewelry brands do Bvlgari, Chopard, Harry Winston?From what I've read quickly so far Blancpain don't always hold so well which is surprising for a company that only produces about 10,000 
Another one of my workhorses broke a little while back doing some work at a friends house. The spring bar in question was about 10 years old and pretty corroded. This is the one that survived.This made the watch unusable as I had no 22mm spring bars in my inventory. I needed to replace the band as it was because doing a project at work last August I spilled a mess of PVC glue on the strap and it did a real number on the finish. It still wfunctioned as a strap but just didn't sit right with me. Y
