Can anyone provide any information about this watch company or maker? It seems almost impossible to find any information. The inside reads 'Dwelsa Watch Swiss' and marked by hand is written 'Wakmann watch co'. There are no series numbers or dates. It is stamped as 15 jewels and unadjusted.It belonged to my great, great grandfather and I just wanted as much information as possible about it.
During WW II Army Air Corps was issued A-11 hack watches. How about the Luftwaffe air crews? Were they issued watches? If so what kind? Or did they have to supply theri own watches? After the war I met a lot of Luftwaffe guys at the Brauhaus in Munich and many wore IWC's. Was that the rule or was it just those guys? Anybody know?Art
