Guys, Heads Up. Being new to this site and buying on EBay, I've noticed sellers describing their watches as having a few months or years left on the warranty. Do not take this as a given. Warranties sometimes are valid only for the original owner!! I am sure that some of these sellers are not even aware of this fact. So take this into account when buying, although high end watches rarely fail within the warranty period.
So every now and then my local thrift store will have some decent watches in for really cheap. I stopped in today and looked around and saw a crazy looking manual wind that has this palm tree background dial and has a VW beetle that goes around the dial as a second hand. Its embossed on a clear piece of plastic that rotates as a second hand. It says hong kong on the dial and has a moran swiss parts made in hong kong pin lever in it. It looks like the highest quality pin lever i have ever seen. A
