You may have spotted a couple of ebay auctions for Hamilton Electric watches with a prototype '507' movement; apparently a 505 modified with a date complication.I've obviously not read Rene's "Watch of the Future" book well enough because I didn't know about this movement. I have heard mention of some of Omega's vintage calibre's being of superior quality than others. Would it be possible to rank the movements with a little justification? I am continuously seeking out vintage watches and could really use information on the quality of the calibres. Are the 70's calibre's really inferior to the 60's? If so, in which way? I like the looks of the slim 70's day/date watches but not so sure if the movement will run as well as my 60's movements.Thanks for any infor
