Just picked up this Elgin Cushion for about $30.00. (I think the hour hand is on backwards?)Serial number on movement seems to date it to 1924:And the inside case back indicates the case is Sterling Silver:Outside case back has lots of Silver tarnish and needs a good cleaning. I've never cleaned a vintage watch with a silver case. Anyone have any recommendations?thanksMark
Friends,This will be my first post on your forum, I just recently made a purchase on a certain site for a Hamilton Navy Khaki time piece, after a few nights of research I finally decided to cave in and get a quality time peice. The seller is reputable so I have no worries on authenticity, but I have just a few questions.The watch is NIB a lovely brown alligator pattern leather strap with a silver dial and so forth,I paid 375. Is that a fair price ? I cant seem to actually find the watch for sale
