Hey there guys,I just wanted to post a few pics of my second but best case restoration to date. It took about 2 months and some hours of sanding & polishing on & off to get most of the deeper dings and scratches out with heavy to medium grit media, but it turned out rather good I think up to this point. You can still see a few of the remnants of the dings, but there almost gone, and I tried not to go too far as to not destroy the taper and flow of the caselines.Just before Thanksgiving I
I guess for wont of another classification scheme, I will concentrate on case shapes in presenting my collection.Here are those which are tonneau-shaped.First, a Barrel with plain bezel, in solid green 14K (Fahys case), ca. 1927.The Tonneau, first example also in green 14K, with engraved bezel; second in white gold fill with plain bezel (and with enamel-printed dial). Both ca. 1927-30 or so. N.B. that although this model was called the Tonneau, it is the one here which is actually not barrel-sha
