Any watches I've had in the past wound with what I'd best describe a ratcheting sound, however my current watch with a ETA 2834-2 movement makes an almost impossible to hear whine or almost hiss noise when being wound. I guess my question is whether this is normal for this movement. It seems to wind fine and the watch runs perfectly but this has always kinda rubbed me the wrong way.It also seems very stiff and difficult to actually wind. I need a pretty good grip on it to get it to turn.
My wife's 4 month old Speedmaster Olympic Edition sub dials are slightly off. The 30 minute dial is slightly off center to the right when you reset the chrono. I took it into my watch store and they fixed it in 30 minutes. My question is:1. How or why does this happen? It wasn't like that when we first got it 4 months ago. All the sub dials were perfectly centered.Has this happen to anyone else? Should i worry that this watch is some how damaged now? Thanks for any feedback...
