Forgive the noob question, but I have to ask.I have a PAM 111 that I recently purchased. Tonight, I inspected it in my dresser and noticed it was stopped. I picked it up to wind it and the second hand began to move. I was under the impression that a manuel watch needed to be hand wound and an automatic watch operates by self winding. Can someone clarify and explain why the pam 111 movement began to operate once I picked it up and began to move it around a bit? Thanks, Cooksomerice
Basically, every watch I own - except for a solid gold vintage - is stainless steel. From time to time, I consider buying a titanium Omega and I have looked a ceramics offered by other brands. For those of you who own watches in these materials, can you give me your impressions - and the day-to-day reality?I know ceramic is scratch proof, but I have read/heard bracelet links etc. can shatter/crack if a watch is dropped. Thanks in advance.Photos would be appreciated too!
