Hi,I am trying to understand the world of watches. I visited a few shops and got some tidbits of information.I understand that most of the Swiss watches use a 'standard' calibre from ETA and a few use their own calibre. Are watches using their own calibre more expensive? A glance at the catalog seems to point this? What is contained in a calibre and what changes do watch brands do to the base calibre? Also - I read that ETA is actually Swatch and they plan to stop selling 'blank' calibres by 2008
