I was thinking of branching my vintage collection out a bit. The Ultra-Chron series interests me, mainly because of the 17 jewel, 36,000 bph movement.I think, in theory, a 36,000 bph watch would be a nice addition to the collection, but I know little about the movement or the watch in general. For those in the know, what do you think of the movement?
So, I've had a line on a nice Breitling Super-Ocean. I've been looking at it for a few months. Last week, the seller dropped the price by $250.00. I had the cash, but thought I would do the "responsible" thing by waiting until "bonus day" on September 10.The watch sold yesterday. So, I guess I'll start my search over again; perusing the "For Sale" forum, and trying to keep the cash from burning a hole in my pocket. The moral? When you see what you want and you've got the cash, go for it...
